Elena Chiocchetti is a senior researcher at the Institute for Applied Linguistics at Eurac Research in Bolzano, Italy. She holds a degree in Translation Studies from the University of Trieste and a PhD from the University of Bologna. Her research interests and national as well as international publications include topics like comparative legal terminology, terminology policy and planning, often with a focus on minority languages, specialised translation, plain language and multilingual knowledge management. She is currently a board member of the European Association for Terminology (EAFT) and a board member of the International Network for Terminology (TermNet).
