Jean Nitzke is an associate professor for translation with a focus on translation technology at the University of Agder, Norway, where she teaches courses on translation technologies and domain-specific translation. She was a lecturer and researcher at the faculty for translation studies, linguistics, and cultural studies in Germersheim, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany from 2012 to 2019 and from 2020 to 2021. She substituted a full professor position in translation studies at the University of Hildesheim, Germany, from 2019 to 2020. Her main research interests are post-editing machine translation, translation technologies, and cognitive translation studies.
