Katia Peruzzo is Associate Professor in English Language and Translation at the Department of Legal, Language, Interpreting and Translation Studies (IUSLIT) of the University of Trieste, Italy. She holds a PhD in Translation and Interpreting Studies and is a member of the Corpus and LAnguage Variation In English Research group (CLAVIER). She has a long-standing research interest in legal discourse, with emphasis on legal terminology in the criminal field and legal and judicial translation for international audiences. More recently, she has also worked in the field of popularization and knowledge mediation for children. She has participated in the translation of the Italian Code of Criminal Procedure as well as in the TrIACLE (Translated Immigration & Asylum Case Law in Europe) project. In October 2022, she started collaborating as a language and translation expert with the Italian Constitutional Court.
