Eva Wiesmann is Professor of German Language and Translation at the Department of Interpreting and Translation of the University of Bologna. Her research focuses on languages for special purposes and translation studies, in particular on legal language and legal translation from Italian into German. In addition, she deals with current issues such as the problem of translation into easy-to-read language. She also works on corpus-based critical discourse analyses of politically and socially relevant texts.
