The SummerTrans IX will be in the city of Bolzano/Bozen in the headquarters building of Eurac Research, Viale Druso/Drususallee 1. Eurac Research can be reached from the old town or the train station in 10-15 minutes by foot. Alternatively, there is a bus stop directly in front of the entrance (bus stop ‘Eurac Research’, lines 6, 9 and 131) and it is possible to arrive by public transport.

Because of its geographical location, Bolzano/Bozen is one of the most important trade centers in the Alpine region. It can be reached by a variety of transport options.
The main railway Bologna-Verona-Bolzano/Bozen-Brenner-Innsbruck-Munich allows for fast connections with all major cities both north and south of the Alps. The Bolzano/Bozen train station is located in the town center, just ten minutes walk from the Headquarters of Eurac Research and from the main hotels.

Bolzano/Bozen offers daily fast connections with the Eurocity train from and to Verona.
In addition, regional trains depart every hour to and from Bolzano/Bozen.
There are daily fast connections with the Eurocity train between Bolzano/Bozen and Innsbruck and Munich.
South Tyrol’s Bozen Dolomiten regional airport is located on the southern outskirts of the capital.
Sky Alps offers regular scheduled flights from German cities such as Düsseldorf, Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart as well as from Antwerp and Copenhagen to Bolzano/Bozen and return. The SASA city lines 10A and 10B run at regular intervals between Bolzano Airport and the town center, as well as the bus and railway stations in Bolzano.
Taxi stands are located directly in front of the Bolzano railway station as well as at the airport terminal. The transfer from the railway station to the airport takes about 15 minutes.
The next closest airports are Verona and Venice to the south and Innsbruck to the north. Additional airports in the area include: Munich, Treviso, Bergamo, Bologna and Milan.

Bolzano/Bozen has an extensive and developed network of bus connections, which connect areas within the town and its surroundings.
Taxis can be found at the train station, at the airport, and in other well-frequented locations. Another unique transportation feature are the three aerial cable cars, which connect the center with nearby elevations.
